Biodiversity at Nordgold

Our assets are located in a variety of ecosystems all over the planet, from the African Savannah to the Siberian Taiga. These ecosystems are home to a wide range of plant and animal species, some of which are protected species.

To maintain environmental balance, we strive to minimize our negative impact on natural habitats by continuously improving our mining and production processes, as well as designing and fine-tuning our environmental restoration and preservation initiatives.

In 2020, Nordgold adopted its Statement of Biodiversity Commitment.
